After four seasons of Designed to Sell and four more of Curb Appeal: The Block, I got my own show on HGTV! We filmed the pilot of Elbow Room back in July then got the green light for the entire first season late last fall. We are filming here in Atlanta and wrapping up the last couple episodes. We’ve worked really hard and I could not be more pleased with the makeovers or my team!

Elbow Room will air Saturdays at 1:00 on HGTV, premiering May 12. Get out the “On TV” tab to learn more about Elbow Room.

So, we are heading north to the suburbs for a little more Elbow Room (ha ha). We are excited to make the transition…especially since our old house sold just five days after listing, but we’ve got our work cut out for us.

The home that we’ve purchased was foreclosed on during the construction phase back in 2009. While the exterior of the house may look complete, there is still plenty left to get done. There’s a roof leak that needs fixing, patches of missing cedar shakes, and not to mention an entire landscape that needs to be designed and installed.

The state of the inside is a bit more obvious…only studs! There is some much to be done and so many choices to make: flooring, appliances, finishes, etc. The first task that I will be tackling is making some framing changes to modify the floor plan to suit our family’s lifestyle and preferences.

I’m really excited about this project. I’ll be searching for all the latest and greatest appliances, finishes and gadgets to incorporate. I’ll be updating you all on the progress, leaving tips, stories and pics throughout. I hope that you’ll follow me on this journey!
